Welcome to season 2025 in the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL).
Whether new or returning to the Southern Football Netball League Umpires Association (SFNLUA), you are a highly valued member of our community. We are extremely fortunate to have such a diverse group of young and more experienced male and female umpires—and great camaraderie within our Association.
Over focus remains in working with the umpiring coaching panel and SFNL Executive to improve our umpiring skill sets and build greater rapport with all SFNL clubs.
This season will showcase an ever-expanding list of SFNL teams and skills levels with opportunities to umpire at all levels of football.
This is also an exciting year for the Association in that we will be wearing for the first time—to and from games—a specially designed SFNLUA tracksuit. The tracksuit—similar in design to those AFL umpires wear—will enhance our professionalism and sense of cohesion as a team.
The most important part of our umpiring—aside from making the right decisions—is to support and encourage each other. We are always foremost a united team.
